Anyone on the list in the area, and feel like running something?

The Winter War Game Convention, held annually in Champaign, IL, is celebrating its 33rd consecutive year and wants to invite Ground Zero Games to be part of it. This year, we are contacting many game publishers and gaming-related dealers we have never contacted before, to allow our 400+ attendees to experience the best that gaming has to offer in the best winter setting possible: our three day convention!

Winter War draws more than just role-players, however. We have a strong base of historical miniatures, flavored strongly with board games and role-playing games (including RPGA side dishes if that is your interest), along side such appetizers as collecible card games and the occasional live action game, all capped off by a 30+ player three-day Advanced Squad Leader tournament.

We would love to have GZG participate, whether it be by suppling prize support for the convention, or buying advertising in our final program, or contacting demonstrators and/or judges who live in the central Illinois region to assist us by running your games and events at Winter War 33.

For Judges: Judges who run a single event receive a 50% discount on weekend registration or free registration for a single day. Judges who run two or more events receive free weekend registration. Judges always must pay for events they play in. Our event submisssion policies are available on our judges policy webpage at <http://winterwar.prairienet.org/wwjudge.html>http://winterwar.prairienet.org/wwjudge.html.

For Advertising: Advertising space is available to any gaming related concern in the final convention program at a cost of $50 for a quarter-page ad (3" x 4.25"), $75 for a half-page ad (6.5" x 4.25"), and $100 for a full-page ad (6.5" x 9"). We accept merchandise as payment at 150% of the above rate. Ads must be paid for and in the hands of the Convention Chairman by January 7, 2006. Ads should be B&W 300 dpi, and e-mailed as flattened TIFs or high-quality JPEGs.

For Shipping: Our shipping address is the Chairman's home address: 304 E Sherman, St. Joseph, IL 61873.

And if you have any suggestions or advice for a 33-year-old gaming convention that most people have never heard of, by all means -- pass it on!

Thank you for your support and assistance!
