out the Orbital Mind Control Lasers!

Probably best done faintly Trek-style, with a (big, powerful) noble
starship attempting to free an alien world from it's insidious
overlords. Could even be played solitaire if the enemy were all
automated defences on the satellites.

The pickup con game I was working on had small ships attacking 'border'
stations between two corporate staging areas as the spark to 'the corporate
wars', but it makes as much sense to have rebels hijacking and retrofitting
merchants in a desparate attempt to free a world's population.
