Subject: [GZG] Some special items available from the GZG stand at SALUTE....

Earlier this year, an old friend and keen fellow modeller, Jim
Langer, sadly passed away in very unfortunate circumstances, leaving
a VAST collection of stuff he had built and collected over many
years. On behalf of the beneficiaries of Jim's estate, we have been
asked to help sell on some of this huge collection.

Several years ago, Jim produced a couple of scratchbuilt 25/28mm
hover APC masters and some interesting 15mm SciFi buildings (the
buildings being a mixture of scratchbuild work and kitbashes from
various surplus toy parts), and had just a small number of each cast
up commercially - but for various reasons, they were never marketed
in any way as far as we are aware.

The vehicles and buildings are all pressure-cast in a hard expanded
urethane foam, the same material that the old Ian Weekley
"Battlements" buildings were made from - in fact, the production runs
were done by the same contract caster.
They are extremely light, but with an excellent surface finish and
easy to paint, cut, drill and sand.
The buildings are all single-piece solid castings, and the two
vehicle types each come as single-piece hulls with separate turrets;
please note that NO WEAPON BARRELS are supplied with the APCs, but
you can very simply add something from plastic or brass tubing and/or
anything you have in your spares box.

We will be offering these items for sale at SALUTE later this month;
sorry, but there will be no pre-orders taken for them, it's strictly
first-come-first-served. IF we have any left at the end of the show,
then we will offer the remainder by mailorder, probably by direct
email and/or through the Marketplace forum on TMP. Apologies to all
those of you who are outside the UK or who cannot attend the show,
but we are so busy at the moment that this is the easiest way for us
to handle this. You can always ask very nicely if there is anyone who
is going who would be prepared to pick some up for you...?

Please note this is being handled by me personally, and NOT as part
of GZG's regular business. This is a once-only sale of existing
stock, these items will not be produced again.

The specific items are as follows:

25/28mm scale:

1) Large 25/28mm Hover APC - single part hull and separate turret
casting; please note that NO WEAPON BARREL IS SUPPLIED.
Price £8.00 each. This is quite a large vehicle, 137mm long, 70mm
wide and 45mm to hull top (63mm inc. turret), and would look good
with almost any make of 25/28/32mm figures.

2) Medium 25/28mm Hover APC - single part hull and separate turret
casting; please note that NO WEAPON BARREL IS SUPPLIED.
Price £6.00 each. A medium-sized vehicle, 115mm long, 54mm wide and
34mm to hull top (46mm inc. turret), suitable for most styles of
25/28mm figures.

15mm (and other scales):

3) Pair of 15mm rectangular buildings with angled sides, very clean
and simple designs, useable as human prefabs or alien structures; two
slightly different sizes in the same style, sold in pairs only.
60x62mm and 60x74mm. £6.00 per pair, VERY LIMITED NUMBERS.

4) Strange alien structures or growths; these would work as alien"
hives" or weird plants, the are not scale specific at all and would
for anything from 6mm upwards. 80mm tall, £6.00 per pair, VERY
LIMITED NUMBERS.

5) Rectangular 15mm building, 100x55mm, £4.00 each, VERY LIMITED
NUMBERS.

6) Circular 15mm building, 95mm diameter, £5.00 each, VERY LIMITED
NUMBERS.

Pictures of these items will be taken and posted when time allows,
this is juts a preliminary heads-up announcement!

Best,

Jon (GZG)
