If you scroll down to the 9th June entry on the blog, there are more 
pictures of the completed Ixx and the 26th December entry has pics of
the 
naked lead. I used 30mm diameter washers (called Fender Washers, I
believe) 
from the local hardware shop for the bases, and superglue to attach the
Ixx 
to the washers. One of the Ixx had a slightly deformed foot (missing the

actual toe-claw) so he actually only has three points of contact with
the 
base, but that seems to work. The polyfilla texturing I did on the bases
is 
pretty thin so adds little keeping them attached.
