Computer assisted targetting and/or smart munitions might remove

Again, computer assist might help, though it's going to be tricky...

According to GURPS Star Mercs, battledress had stealth as well,
which may help against forces who don't have the latest tech.

The Galactic Patrol could probably solve this problem, what with
having Bergenholms installed in their armour. Traveller reactionless
drives don't work in the same way however.
