l my construction method is sound. Having now produced 5 rings, it's
fast
and easy using the lamination method. The method also has the advantage
of
allowing you to custom build the thickness. I'll make another and take
some
photos.
Right now I'm making them 4 layers thick of 0.25mm styrene. It visually
looks the right thickness for the scale and it pretty strong in styrene.
I
have no worries about the master's strength on the models.
As for the casted version, I have little experience doing it myself, but
having felt pieces of similar dimensions I believe they should be strong
enough. Casting them true I have no idea about. Jon will be better able
to
answer that when he gets them. Actually I guess that means I actually do
have to make few more rings. Enough to send 1 master of each type to
Jon
and 1 of each for me.
I'll be getting to that next week. I'm off starting tonight out of town
for
vacation ;-) I have to remember not to dable in the other projects I've
sketched out and just get them done, since I can do them all in one
evening.
Once that's done I can start on the strike carrier, launch module, BC
bow
section, and fleet carrier I've got drafted up.
Jaime
It takes only one drink to get me drunk. The trouble is, I can't
remember if
it's the thirteenth or the fourteenth.
