What were they firing? AP is not going to 
disintegrate. Don't base your ballistics 
knowledge on Mythbusters. They're NOT very expert 
on Ballistics.

One thing to contemplate is that at range you're 
going to have some downward arc on the rounds. If 
they impact at the waterline on a boat, what 
distance below the water line are they going to 
then pass through?

Everything Above, and below as it's going to keep 
on going barring something REALLY solid like an 
engine block and that's not going to like acting 
as a stop for .50.
