My itinerary will have had me bouncing all over the US for 3 weeks
already so I really don't want to have to follow that route back out
again ;)

LA
Boston
Providence
Key Largo
Miami
Columbus
JFK/Dulles (whatever the poor travel lady can manage to figure out works
best)
LA or San Francisco
Hawaii (if San Francisco exit)

And this is ignoring all the little and interesting airports I get to
sprint through to make connections mid-leg ;)

You can technically get a "direct flight to Australia from NY" twice a
week, but that just means you still go NY-LA-Oz, but without the need to
change planes 3 times between NY and LA ;)
