A few years back I picked up a cheapish kit of
Thunderbird 2 with the intention of using it for a
lander. The kit would be about a foot long and came
with several much smaller vehicles as cargo.

It would be very big for 6mm, but might be fine for 20
or 25mm scale figures.

Nothing was done with it and it lurks in the roofspace
along with an embarrassing number of unbuilt kits -
does anyone else remember the Revell space station kit
from the eighties?

I bought several of the 1/288th scale SST with SRBs
and ET kits to pinch the SRBs and ET for converting
1/48th scale tank kits to missile carriers (first
thought was for a GW Chimera conversion but the 1/48th
scale Zhengdfu/Kitech tanks are a third of the price
and can be used for 'real' wargaming as well) which
leaves several SSTs for use as 6mm shuttlecraft. Maybe
they need an 'Armageddon' style workover to disguise
their origins as an SST is pretty distinctive.
