FLASH FROM THE FRONT!

sensors throughout the system squawk out a warning as the unscheduled
ship drops back into the real universe . . .

"HELL - LOW? HELL-LOW? SPIT-SPIT- SPIT!"

"IS ANYBODY THEY-YAR? "

"HELL - LOW? HELL - LOW?"

"DOAN Y'ALL START SHUTING NOW! THIS IS OLE DAWIE, NOT SOME GODLOST BEM
OR LIZ - ZARD WIFF ANDY SOCIAL ADDIE -TUDES"

"HELL - LOW?"

weeeel, noooo!

OLE DAWGIE got a parcel via USPS priority mail yesterday afternoon. said
parcel contained OLE DAWGIE's latest small exploratory purchase of STOFF
that just might be useful in his sci-fi gaming, using many rulesets, in
25mm/28mm scale.

the parcel contained 12 clix type battlemechs, not the normal fighting
mechs, but some of the civvie mechs that got dragooned into combat
service.

mining, construction, agrocultural, and forestry mechs of various
types, some with BFG tacked onton them in an effort to make them into
real battlemechs but most have al of their civvie fittings, and the
armed ones have retained partial civvie fittings. shovel, scoops,
chainsaws, tillers, graplers, trenching gear, circle saws, rotating
drill clusters, etc.

these mechs are all made of resin, are about 50mm tall or taller, come
mounted on a clix base, and are prepainted in assorted	use worn shades
of yellow, green, brown, black, and gray, instead of the customary
bright battlemech liveries or military camouflage colors. thry also
have a nice, satifying layer of ''crud" on them from a brown or black
wash.

all in all, very civvie and used looking mechs.

very much like one would expect to find at BADDAWG'S OK USED BOT LOT on
some colonial world, or in use by folks on a colonial world.

mechs pop off the clix base very easily! clix base can be popped into 2
plastic discs vry easily; 1 solid, 1 hollow. the box like structure on
the clix base also pops off easily and can used as bitz. the hollow disc
can be used to make another plastic base , or tossed into the bitz box.

the mechs can be altered very easily with small sawblade or nippers, to
remove unwanted military fittings.

i remounted my mechs onto the solid plastic disc, with green stuff, and
filled in the L-shaped viewing slot with green stuff too. sooo, now i
have a nice, solid, round plastic base that i can terrain up!

word up, gang!

a swipe from a mech triple rotary srill bit, chainsaw, trench digger,
power shovel, etc would sure ruin the day of some guy/gal strutting
about in powered armor and feeling invincible!

and turn a flak clad trooper into goo!

here is my cunning plan for using these toys with my sci-fi toys and
terrain.

a. these mechs can be used as HARMLESS randomly mobile or immobile
battlefield terrain to worry gamers.

b. or as ad hoc war-bots pressed into service by desperate colonists
or miners under attack by baddies.

c. as DANGEROUS randomly mobile or immobile terrain features.

d. as computer controlled machines being used to attack their former
human masters by an insane AI (2001; A SPACE ODYSSEY),	by a hostile
intelligent computer virus (TRAVELLER; THE SHATTERED IMPERIUM), by an
accidentally down loaded and hostile alien lifeform (JAMIE LEE
CURTIS/DONALD SUTHERLAND salvage tug movie), by an intelligent and
hostile alien lifeform capable of controlling machines ( the 2
different versions KILL DOZER made for TV), or the 18 wheelers from hell
attacking the isolated truck stop movie with EMILIO ESTEVEZ), on some
lonely frontier world or at some isolated ming colony.	when the trouble
shooters arrive to find out why ET has not been calling home, THEY wil
be looking for ALIENS or similiar, not COMPUTER CONTROLLED MACHINES . .
.

your local store (like mine) surely has a contingent of clix gamers.
these folks are always looking for a way to make money off of their
unwanted duplicate mechs from starter and booster kits. i got mine for
about a dollar USA each.

if you decide to buy a starter pack or a booster pack (3 mech lines, 100
toys per line) and want to get rid of unwanted mechs, vehicles, etc,
CHECK WITH THE STORE FIRST! some of these things are worth around
$40.00 USA each, more worth $20.00 or $30.00, even more worth $5.00.
and make sure you realize that the different morale ratings effect the
dollar value too!

anyway, some thoughts about possible uses for those extra clix toys
that the clix gamers do not want !
