No that was more along the lines of conquest and complete
replacement of indigenous peoples than mere colonization.
It's why it more or less worked in USA, Australia, Canada
but not India. In fact India and Pakistan are colonial failures.
There was no Pakistan before colonialism just as there were
not the tons of Mid Eastern or African nations there are now.
Divide and conquer then rule works well in a colonial system
until the third party doing the dividing pulls out.
