This was a long while ago, playing AD&D. New player came in with a
character, with all attributes at 18 except one at 17. The GM was
naturally
suspicious, so handed the player his own 4D6 and asked new player to
reroll
every attribute in front of the GM. After six rolls, the new character
had
18 for every attribute!
