Ok, spiffy.  I presume that is because previously only
Light Infantry Bats had pioneers?

This is a half-step.  Leaving your 3rd company short a
platoon limits your maneuver options a bit, unless
you're going to do things the stupid way and leave
that platoon double-tasked, which ends up with
inadequate training time for either of their jobs.
