Something for our European friends.

The (British) 'Army Wargamers Association' is holding a convention at
Osnabrück in NW Germany from 13th-15th September.

First details:
http://www.theawa.de/events.html
Among the events will be a Full Thrust competition.

Not mentioned on the website are the competition details. Roughly:
1500 points. Fleet Book 1 and Kravak FB2 designs only. Balanced fleets.
Minis need not be the exact type, but should be of appropiate size.

I have the rules in print if somebody is interested in the details.

For those interested in history: Osnabrück is near to the Teutoburger
Wald battle site at Kalkriese where the Germans beat Varus' Roman
legions. Archaeologists have excavated the battle site and a museum has
recently been built at the site. To judge from preliminary exhibitions,
it should be well worth the detour.

Greetings
