[FT] Fighters (sort of) (cleam post)

Well, if you _really_ don't like fighters - there is a (pre Fleet Book)
alien race in the FTSR Xenology centre called the Cthar:

They do not use fighters, and have a couple of weapons that are, to put
it mildly, gross :-)

The one that fits _this_ discussion is the disruption field (although
properly used, the energy wave could wipe out a fighter swarm) - ok, it
can only be used 1/2 turns, so you alternate - kills all fighters within
12mu of the ship using it.

If you thought FB2 Sa'Vasku were bad... you should see these guys :-)

And no - I've never used them.
