Unfortunately, people sometimes act like that in real life :-(

The recent death in Kabul of 2 German and 3 Danish soldiers (plus
wounding of 11 others) seems to have been such an example.

Apparently, they were trying to defuse two SA-3 anti-air missiles to
take them home as souvenirs. The missiles had been rusting and rotting
for years in the open air. Standard procedure would have been to blow
them up.

And there were far too many people standing around :-(
