Lessee....I'm not as deeply dug in to the miniatures world as most
people here are (ie, I've heard lots of great things about Peter Pig,
but really don't have anything by them). So, here's my list given my
current collection of minis (which is larger than this list, but you
asked for top 5-6...)

GZG - starships, 1/300 Future Wars series, 15mm
Brigade - 15mm, 1/300, starships
DLD - 15mm
Ral Partha - B-tech stuff
Whoever did the plastic Federation starships 
The old Grenadier fantasy (25mm) stuff
