[FT] Salvo Missiles with warheads? really? :)

With all the comments on ortillery and the initial comments on MT
missile 
warheads and the warheads on SMs, I have one question to ask......

Do salvo missiles actually have warheads? Do they really need them? 
Regardless of how much distance a MU represents in the your game the SMs

travel very fast, the kinetic energy of a SM running into the target
ship 
will probably be enough to make a warhead superfluous to requirement.

Well that's one way of looking at it.
