I disagree.

During the Xeno war, NI supports defense of Earth and the core. E. Indi 
is in fact closer to the core itself than some of the outer core worlds.

In the Post Xeno war era, that affinity probably remains and possibly 
increases, esp if the UN becomes a more dominant power in the core 
worlds.
