TYPO! [HTD Size 4, 2 x "System/5"] *should be* [HTD Size 5, 2 x
"System/5"].

And [LTD Size 3, "System/5" Turret] is clearly a violation of the
RECOMMENDED guidelines about vehicle size and maximum weapon size. But
since it is recommended I chose to include it for potential use (and
discussion.)

Addition: "Territorial Militia" may be formed for unorganized areas with
Confederal Permission.	This usually will consist of horse cavalry or
light
infantry.

Gracias,
Glenn/Triphibious

Subject: The Bear Republic - a work in Progress

The Bear Republic (aka as The Great Bear Republic)
A Confederated Republic
Consists of "Federal States" subdivided into "Regional States" and
further subdivided into various smaller governmental bodies.
Flag: TBD
Tech: Fusion Generation Plants, Superior FCS and Missile Guidance
Drives: Varied (see notes)
Single Barrel Turrets predominate

The Confederation military consists of 1 division Coast Guard Marines
(Waterborne,) Jump Jet troops (2 Battalions), ATGM Brigade, VTOL "Air
Marines" Battalion and an Off Planet Expeditionary Force (TBD)	The
Coast
Guard Marines generally serve in Company sized detachments or in port
based "Garrisons."

The Federal states are required to maintain 1 to 2 division elements
each
varying dependent on their terrain and population. All forces may be
confederalized for defensive operations (internal or external.)

"Coastal states" are required to maintain GEV "Marine" units equipped
with HEL weapons. These units are trained in coastal operations using
amphibious or VTOL methods.

"Mountain states" are required to maintain Tracked SLAM equipped
"Mountain" units. The infantry is trained in "Mountain" warfare
operations.

"Desert states" are required to maintain Mechanized Cavalry units
utilizing either DFFG or GMS weapons. These are generally specialized
in
'behind enemy lines or Special Forces' operations.

"General States" (i.e., all other) are required to maintain GRAV
equipped
Mechanized forces using HKP weapons (MDC 1 and 2 for smaller size
weapons.)

"Regional States" are required to maintain 1 - 5 Battalions of "Light"
National Guard forces using Wheeled and MDC equipped systems, depending
on population.	The Average is 2 units. All forces may be Federalized
in
a disaster or riot and all forces may be Confederalized for defensive
operations (internal or external.)

States below "Regional" May (with permission of Regional, Federal and
Confederal governments) maintain "Light Infantry" ('leg' although
unarmed
organic wheeled 'truck' transport is part of the TO&E in most units)
Companies. All units be Federalized or Confederalized in a declared
crisis for internal protection.

Vehicle general design is fixed as follows:

APC Size 3, FT x 2, "System/1" turret, PDS/ BAS, LAD
LBT Size 3, "System/3" Turret, PDS/Sup, LAD
LTD Size 3, "System/5" Turret
MBT Type 1 Size 4, "System/4" turret, PDS/Bas,	LAD, 4 capacity local

HTD Size 4, 2 x "System/5"
ATGM Size 4, FT, GMS/H x 4
HBT Size 5, "System/5" Turret, PDS/Enh, LAD, 2 x (extra) APSW

Platoons of vehicles are standardized at 5.

Fire Teams are standardized at 4 troopers; 3 for APSW, and 2 for GMS/L
and LAD

Infantry Organization (platoon level)
