It would be easy to put a ships signature value on its
SDD.

Would a ships signature increase as it took damage? So
at the end of the damage rows there might be a series
of different signature values.

Missiles would not attack the closest ship but instead
the largest signature within range - so sacrificial
escorts would need a 'blip enhance' system like the
Falklands helios.

This also suggest a series of sneaky manoeuvres -
artificially boosting a ships signature to fool an
enemy - like a submarine releasing oil and debris.
Amusing but better suited to a novel or RPG rather
than FT.
