Subject: US Army's First Digital Battle

Check out this article in the LA Times for a report of the
first digital battle in the US Army. The 4th ID (Mech) fought
against the Red Force, the tough to beat OPFOR at
Ft Irwin. The 4th ID is the first US Army unit to be fielded
with a digital network. Each tank, MICV, and humvee has
a PC networked with the others in the division. This is the
"battlefield internet" and it's straight outta Stargrunt!
