Well, I got spanked.

Vector movement, a bit more than 2000 points a side. I had a DoSan
(with heavy fighters), a KoVol , TiDak, VoBok and a couple of KaTak.
John Atkinson had a ConstantineI escort cruiser, two St Symeon CH, a
St Theodore-the-Recruit DN, and a St Andrew SDN (stats follow). The
was a planet in the middle which affect maneuver a bit--we were both
cautious not to commit any high speed docking, but no major effect.
Both sides closed, we kept our noses at each other. My main guns,
total all ships, consisted of 4 K5 and 4 K3. John's ships collective
had 20 PTorp, as I found out. My fighters picked the ADFC ship to
attack, which they destroyed at the cost of 14 of their 24 fighters.

Final result, when the KV jumped out: Theo had taken a couple of
thresholds, ConstantineI was destroyed, and the St Andrew had taken 27
hull--one more and it would have gone over the first threshold....the
KV KoVol, VoBok and a KaTak were gone, the DoSan had take two
thresholds and the other two were untouched.

Lessons:
1. KV in vector, against a KV-hunter HuMan fleet, aren't
overwhelming. John says "they're still scary".
2. Any parking space in front of 16 PTorps is a bad place to be
(unless you're playing vs Indy, of course).

Any suggestions on how to handle KV vs the following?

St Andrew
Mass 250
Hull110
Cost 755
MD4
FTL
5 FCS
9PDS no armor or shields
8 PTorp, 2 B2, 3 B3 (3arc) 1 B1

St Theodore the Recruit
Mass 160
Hull 57
Cost 538
MD4
FTL
3 FCS
6PDS no armor or shields
