Some comments to Tom's post (which I mostly agree with):

Many of today's GMS/L-equivalents only have 2-man crews. Oh, it's
always nice to have a third guy around to carry extra ammo, provide
security etc - but he's usually not *necessary*.

Which is why DSII doesn't track SAWs at all. Modern SAWs are basically
standard automatic rifles with bipods and extra-large magazines anyway

Again yes. IMO the GMS/Ps are included in the IAVR category in DS2.

At least for the ones I've seen, yes.

See the comment above. If anything the crew requirements will go down
in the future, so I think it's pretty safe to say 2 men per heavy
infantry weapon.
