First CanAm War (Proposed Rules):

1. Each participant brings a 1500 point FB1 fleet including minis.
a. Variants will be allowed. Weapons (including fighter bays, PDS and
ADFC)
may be added or subtracted as long as the total weapons mass is the same
as
in the original design.
b. If there is a weapon not found in a FB fleet, it may not be used in a
variant. Example: if ESU has no FB designs with submunitions, then no
variant ESU ship may use submunitions.	Exception: all fleets may have
ADFC.
c. No other variations (thrust, hull, armor, screens, etc) are allowed.
d. Fleet lists must be submitted to the referee at least 4 weeks in
advance.
e. The referee will bring spare fleet lists for anyone who doesn't have
one. However, if you get 1500 points of scouts--or carriers with no
fighters--no whining is allowed.

2. The participants will be divided into Canadian and American sides.
Each
side will elect their own admiral.

3. Movement will be vector system using FB2 revisions.
a. Before writing orders, all players will place markers to show where
their
ships would end the turn if they used zero thrust.
b. Players will then have a limited time period to write their orders.
c. Each admiral rolls for initiative for each of his players. Example:
With a total of 8 players in the game, the Canadian admiral get
initiative
positions 1, 2, 6 and 8, while the American gets 3, 4, 5, and 7. Each
admiral may then assign the player of his choice to each initiative
position.

4. Victory points <vbg>
a. Each participant will bring a six-pack of his preferred brew. For
Canadians, I assume this will be Molson's. Americans should bring
something
that's drinkable--imported if necessary.
b. Each player's fleet will be divided into 6 groups (approx 250 points
per
group) and will designate one brew per group.
c. The player who destroys the last hull box of an enemy 250 point group
gets the corresponding brew.
d. The last hull box is the only one that counts. Players may make
agreements between themselves to divide their loot; the referee will not
enforce such agreements, however.
e. The referee does not drink beer but could conceivably be succeptible
to
bribery in other media of exchange.</vbg>
