Hi Mark,

Sorry to hear about the bath -- unfortunately, masking tape won't do
what you want to do here. You need to use something called a "frisket".
It's a sheet of thin, clear flexible plastic that's sticky on one side,
and it works like a piece of clear tape. You stick it onto the model,
and use an xacto knife gently and carefully to cut the mask to the
shape you want. It's easy to cut if you have a sharp blade, and it's
sticky enough to prevent paint from getting underneath the mask.

You can also get liquid frisket, but unless you're doing something
REALLY precise, I'd recommend using the frisket sheets -- liquid
frisket is messy and hard to control, and it can take a bit of practice
to get used to it.
