"Heaven and Earth" was directed by Haruki Kadokawa, not Akira Kurosawa.
I have
it, given as a present by friends, but I have yet to watch it! (I had
misplaced it for a while.) It's now on the top of my "to watch" pile! I
wonder
if that's the samurai movie the filmed in Alberta...
I've always been in a samurai phase. I'm so disappointed in most
skirmish
samurai rules that I've been writing a set of my own. Actually, right
now it's
mostly a whole slew of additions and adaptations to Jon's FMC rules
(hence,
it's on topic!!!). I'm thinking of making it a "plug in" for most any
renaissance/middle ages skirmish game and see what happens...
If you're looking for terrain bits, check out Armourcast. I bought a
bunch of
their stuff at GenCon last year. They make a marvelous Japanese bridge,
and
their walled inclosure is a great addition to a Hovel Japanese house.
The
torii speaks for itself. *S*
