I have T2000 2nd edition. You're right, it's a fantastic game.	But as
good 
of an idea as yours is, it defeats my purpose in asking the question.  I

don't want to take DS/SG/FT ideas and apply them to another game system

what I'd love is an RPG system where I could take a group of PC's from
that 
RPG and throw them right into the middle of a SG or DS battle and have
them 
function immediately as elements of that game - in other words, RPG
stats 
that overlap those of SG II.
