Read Ben Rich's book.

You guys are making stealth out to be this new technology that was to
make our aircraft invincible. It doesn't. So you say our aircraft are
useless. Stop believing everything the media says. Stealth doesn't make
an aircraft invisible.
The aircraft do solitary penetrations of airspace without fighter
escort.
When an A-6 did a penetration it had a MIG CAP in the Area to deal with
problems. The Stealth aircraft are far less vulnerable to airdefenses
than an A-6 is. Get it through your heads, the aircraft aren't a waste
of
money because one got shot down. If that was the case then the F-111
that were used in the gulf war and against Lybia were useless because
some were shot down during vietnam.
The F-117 that was shot down was used in a poorly planned mission. Thats
why it got snagged.
