Stuart Murray was going to run a Boer war SG2 scenario at GZG ECC last
February.  He'd brought Boers with a pompom gun and British infantry (in
khaki) with a Maxim gun.

He was not going to use radios or EW, but I seem to recall he'd given
the
rifles reasonable rates of fire and good impact (since historically
these
weapons, per shot, have excellent lethality compared to modern weapons).
 I
think British infantry (Martini-Henrys ?) had firepower 2 and D8 impact
or
maybe D10.

At the other end of the scale, muzzle-loaded muskets are definitely
firepower 0.5 and impact D6.
