Reminds me of the independent FT background I'm trying to piece
together. The plot revolves a group of Anarcho-capitalist planets
colonized by humans who left earth because of the continued expansion of
government. (read Heinlein or Smith) When earth re-discovers their
"runaway children," they mount a military campaign to re-establish what
they deem to be order on these "barbaric" worlds. I'm also throwing in
pirates and aliens to add some variety.
So far, I've been trying to piece together some new systems for
this
genre--a new defense system, new weapons, a new jump drive. I was
hoping to finish it over the holidays, and put it up on the web.
However, real life got in the way as usual.
