	NO! NO! No...
	Fire Control directors are not used to track targets, only to
direct fire
control systems.  They are a pencil width beam, you don't use them to
track
targets, only to direct weapon systems...
	Fire Control Directors and scanners are two very different
creatures.  In
some advanced systems such as AEgis they are combined together, but even
then the combined system does the two roles as a function, not as a
combined function.
