I'm planning to do a Far Frontier Campaign where in everyone is stuck at
the terminal point of the supply line. It assumes that all the latest
and
greatest equipment is distributed to Earth forces first, then the Core
Worlds, and finally to the Far Frontiers (if ever). Will be mostly
infantry, with some vehicles. Assumes that the main protagonists are the
FES and ESU. Relations strained due to ESU complains that the FSE is the
first to bail when things start to turn against them. FSE complains that
the ESU has left them twistin' in the wind too many times while they
pursue
thier (ESU's) own agenda.

I've just started collecting/painting 25mm figures, but here is what I
came
up with so far:

FSE: In various shades of medium to dark blue. Not as outlandish as it
sounds, and gives them a bit of a traditional French flavor (blue was
favored from Napoleon to WWII). The vehicles are Howard Hues Geo-Hex Tan
with Polly S Centar Brown irregular stripes.

ESU: Red-brown with splotches of Howard Hues British Brown Drab and
Polly S
Centaur Brown. Vehicles same pattern.

PSR (Papal State of Rome):
Panzer gray base, with splotches of medium gray, followed by random thin
stips of light gray. Vehicle same.

Have unit ranks and vehicle designations worked out for each also if
anyone
interested.

Background note: After the destruction of Israel (and Jerusalem), all
the
remaining holy places were given independence guaranteed by the UNalong
the
lines of the Papal State of Rome: eg, Mecca is run by the Sheriff, etc.
The
Papacy maintains a small but high quality force of military orders to
provide pilgrim escorts to Outworld shrines, supply and defense of
non-Terran monasteries, missions, and commandaries . Loosely based on
the
same functions that the military orders were supposed to perform during
the
Crusading era. Under FSE "protection", and function as unofficial ally,
but
tries to maintain some semblance of independence, like using NSL
equipment
(much to the annoyance of the FSE). Runs a first class intelligence
organization through the Jesuits.
