Fair comments here. Sometime back someone made a post regarding alien
and SST Mobile Infantry Unit Integrity distances as varying from the
standard 6"; 12inches might sound a LOT more reasonable for BUGs. The
same might go for cavalry ie Grav Bikes?

Might just be worth remembering that the ground scale of 1 inch to 10m
here. Most Sections/Squads will not be dispersed much more than 60m in
diameter. Depending on terrain, you don't want your squad spread more
than 10m to 15m apart. For one thing in a contact members of the section
will be unable to put fire into the target area. When (not IF) the
Section Commander wants the fire teams to move, he will have to wait for
them to close up and then get them moving. Ever tried crawling a 100m in
full kit? It is tiring so you only do it when necessary )avoiding
speeding bullets is one of theose times!). So having his section spread
over 120m - SGII 12inches, is less favourable than 50m to 70m. How far
can you easily shout? 60m is reasonable.

Regarding radios, they can help but don't give you an omnipresence about
your terrain. You've still got teh same problems when trying to move and
return fire as I mentioned above.
