Making the FT / DSII stuff an SFSFW exclusive serves two
purposes : 1) it provides the SFSFW with another hook to draw in
potential new members, and 2) it effectively limits our customer base
and thus reduces (yes, reduces) our potential turnover (strange as it
may seem, to us this is a Good Thing). My two colleagues and I run
Brigade as a strictly part-time operation, we all have full-time jobs
and families that limit the time we can devote to the business. We
simply couldn't cope with the increase in business we'd get if we
made the models freely available.

The chap to contact is Simon Evans, 73, Avonleigh Road, Bedminster,
Bristol, England, BS3 3JA. I'm not sure what the current overseas
subscription
rates are. The SFSFW web page did seem to be quite out of date the
last time I looked at it (admittedly some time ago).

Nothing personal, I assure you. I know the SFSFW has a fair number of
overseas (ie non-UK) members - we get orders from the US and other
places fairly frequently.
