Stuart spake thusly upon matters weighty:

For what it is worth, Stuart, I'm planning on being at the formative
SomethingCon in Toronto (whatever we end up calling it, eh Allan? How
about Thrustacon? or Maplecon? or Cold Thrust?), and I've come up
with an idea (and almost a full scenario setup) based off of what
happened at GZG East Coast as detailed in my write up.
The scenario idea is that the Marines (The remaining half of the
platoon plus Sgt. Andron) are determined to bring Mr. Calivari and
his hatchet men to justice by raiding Oribital Facility X-ray Gold
(where the BioWarfare research is being further pursued). It would be
similar in scope to the last one, an indoor battle with just over a
section of Marines on the one side (11-13 in total divided into
probably 3 squads) vs. some station security plus a few tricks Mr.
Calivari and W-Y have up their sleeve.
Rationale: W-Y don't want trouble with the Marines, so they wouldn't
put up a *full scale* struggle (besides the Conestoga class Onendaga
could probably take out the orbital base if they tried) so they'll
volunteer to give up Mr. Calivari, but the catch is he's holed
himself up in a Lab with a bunch of staff loyal to him blocking the
way there. So the Marines have to go get him. From the Company's
point of view, if he kills all of the Marines, good for him. They'll
probably help him escape. If they kill him, the Company uses him as a
scapegoat for any illegal researches. It's win-win for W-Y unless he
is captured. And there is a twist or two to make this a very hard
feat.
What do you think Stuart? Do you mind if I run such a scenario at
WhatEverWeCallItCon in Toronto when it is finalized? Anyone
interested in being involved as a player? (This is a hook to get more
people to come... *grin*).
Tom.
