Hmmm... that famous quote was from 12th century France during the
Albgesinian Crusade against the Cathars who were Christian heretics and
radicals.
During the storming of the city of Beziers, the Papal Legate Arnold
Almaric uttered the words
"Slay them all.. God will know his own."
Funnily enough the other cities involved surrendered very quickly
