Easy, make the endurance directly proportional to the number of pints
drunk. That way, players can increase the endurance of their fighters
at the expense of tactical excellence. <GRIN>

If they get REALLY drunk, the endurance is effectively infinite, ie.
the player falls asleep, forgets he's playing, knocks them into
oblivion,
loses track of the number of beer he's drunk, etc.

Didn't you guys know that FT is actually a _drinking_ game? ;-)
