There've been a lot of questions and speculation about Earthforce. For
starters, sorry for the delay. We just couldn't get Warner Bros.'
approval schedule to mesh with our printer's press schedule. Believe me,

if you think it's frustrating waiting for the book to come out at your
end, imagine how frustrating it is to sit on a complete, ready-to-print
manuscript and $100,000 worth of orders for weeks, while fielding scores

of emails and telephone calls... In any event, we're happy to say that
the book is now with the printer, and they should give us a firm ship
date sometime this week. We'll post that date as soon as we have it.

As for what to look forward to, here's a basic outline:

The history of Earthforce: how it (and to an extent, earthgov) came into

being over the period between 2000 and 2250.

Earthforce's structure: the branches of Earthforce fully described,
along
with detailed info on life as and Earthforce officer or soldier
(lifestlye, pay, benefits, training, promotion, ranks, etc.). Also
overviews of the many types of assignments and backgrounds for
Earthforce
player characters.

Additional rules for Earthforce characters: new characteristics, areas
of
expertise, martial arts, etc., along with some additional rules for
combat.

Earthforce equipment: a bunch of standard EF equipment covered in
detail.

Earthforce ships: Earthforce ship classes described, with record sheets
(detailing combat system stats) provided for each class. Also, all of
the
major alien ship and weapon technologies are discussed, with record
sheets provided for a bunch of major alien ship classes.

Ship-to-ship combat rules: complete and really cool combat rules that
can
be played standalone or during roleplaying games.

Earthforce personnel: detailed info on major EF personnel. Some are
familiar faces; all are NPCs that might be influential on EF characters
or any story arc in which Earthforce plays a role.

I may have forgotten a thing or two, but that's most of the big
features.
Hope that helps for those eagerly awaiting the book--it won't be long
now!
