Anyone who's interested in reading about the use of AIs
in space warfare, might be interested in _Excession_ by
Iain M Banks. It's not one of his easiest books to read,
but its main plotlines revolve around Minds (AIs) planning,
scheming, and fighting over an alien artifact.

Well, I enjoyed it anyway.
