If your talking about Michael Hodgson's game, yeah it died. About half
the players quit after turn 1 and the rest was divided on whether to
continue or not.

Here is part of a message Mike sent me later on:

Greetings,

I will be starting a number of GalaxyNG games and Standard Galaxy
games.	So if you like to play GalaxyNG during the summer read on.

You have a choice from the following games:

Game1	GalaxyNG 5 turns/week small game	~ 10 players
Game2	GalaxyNG 3 turns/week small game	~ 10 players
Game3	GalaxyNG 2 turns/week big game	~ 40 players
Game4	GalaxyNG 2 turns/week small game	~ 10 players
Game5	GalaxyNG 3 turns/week one on one 2 players
Game6	GalaxyNG 1 turn/week medium game	~ 20 players
Game7	Galaxy 2 turns/week medium game	~ 20 players
Game8	Galaxy 1 turn/week medium game	~ 20 players

The game names are just temporarily, they will be changed to more
exciting
names as soon as the games start.

I like to accommodate as many players as possible. So if 30 people join
Game1, I will start 3 separate games that run 5 turns/week.

You can join as many times as you like, however I will ensure
that do not play two positions in the same game.

Games will start as soon as there are enough players. If there are not
enough players for a particular game within 3 weeks the game will be
canceled, and you will receive a notification.
