Torpedo question

Howdy folks; got a question concerning Pulse torpedoes. I put 
together a Klingon BC based on the version in STMP, with the fwd and 
aft firing PT. It was decided that this version requires an FC for 
each tube, plus one for the beam batteries. So far so good, but the 
Fed player wondered, (and asked me to ask) since the Enterprises' PT 
are both facing forward and are (or would seem to usually bbe) fired 
at the same target. Could you  only use 1 FC for both tubes?
