Is that not why you asked the question in the first place?  I'm sure
everyone has some cool ship designations that may explain it differently
as
well.  I play FT with players that use different classifications than
mine.
I too tend to use the US/NATO classifications.	We just ID the ship size
to
help get a bearing of what it could be.
