GF figures

Ok, something else for a change.

Perusing the GZG catalog, I noticed that some of the GF range of figures

seem to be inspired by a number of popular SF shows.

Is it just me and the bad photos, or does a Star Tiger look like a... ?
Are they all so inspired?

Not that I object. I'd just like to know.

Btw: Has anyone else considered gluing NSL ships 504 and 505 together
and 
using it sideways? Looks a bit like the "horseshoe" ship from the 
movie "Alien".
