To settle any rumours or well-intentioned misinformation, here is the
actual situation as of this moment:

MT is out of print; both GeoHex and myself are sold out on them, but
there
may well be some copies still on the shelves at distributors and/or
stores
in both the US and UK. There will ALMOST CERTAINLY be a reprint run done
very soon, we're just sorting out when and how many.

FT (aka FTII) is still in stock at both GZG and GeoHex, so distributors
and
stores should have NO problems getting them - I'm sure GeoHex would like
to
be told of any problems you encounter with stores telling you otherwise.
We
MAY decide to print a few more FT at the same time as the MT reprint, to
make sure we don't run out.

FTIII (of which much has been talked) WILL happen, but we don't yet know
when - it certainly won't be in the next few months, so FTII will be the
only version on sale for a while yet. FTIII won't change the gameplay in
any major ways - the main changes will be in peripheral areas like ship
design (ie: fixing the problems!), and MT will still be useful for it in
a
large part - so please don't let the prospect of FTIII put you off
getting
FTII & MT in the short term!
We are making a start on the Fleet Book - as usual, no promises yet of a
release date, because everything always takes longer than originally
thought! Our intention is to make the FB compatible with FTII, but
incorporating some of the planned changes for FTIII (particularly on the
design system), so that the FB ship designs are still valid when FTIII
finally comes out.

More news as it happens!

BTW, I don't want to be seen as stepping on Mike's toes or contradicting
him, but there may be times when his info is a little out of date due to
his current infrequent access to the list. There may be times when Mike
can't speak to me before answering a query, which isn't a problem on
things
like rules questions but can be on matters like stock situations. Please
bear with us!
