Well, I think you still have to take into account the LAN side of
things.
Just because Sun wants to release the offices of the world from the
bondage of MS Office doesn't mean they'll stop using it, and it would be
helpful if whatever meta-application you guys come up with could
translate
the ship-generating Excel file into Lotus or Quattro Pro or whatever
spreadsheet application already exists on people's LAN server.
