My DSII forces are currently organized into three forces, each of which
will
be able to field a complete combat group with a full variety of options
and
some specail equipment, etc. Each force has a distinct paint scheme and
represents a different technology level. I have one force of all grav
vehicles, including all support and armor. These guys are based
primarly on
Renegade Legions Vehicles with a few others and are painted grey. The
second
force is medium tech and includes Grav (or Hover) vehicles for the tanks
and
IFV's, with all of support vehicles (arty, special vehicles, etc) being
tracked, etc. I've got this group painted dark green with brown
patterning.
The third group is lowest tech, with the vehicles being mostly tracked
and
some hovers. These troopsd are desert tan with green blob patterns.
I've
got line infantry done in green to accompany either of the lower tech
forces,
with some power armor in green to the middle tech force. The high tech
forces uses only power armor, for which I have a bunch of the
Alternative
Armies citymap Crusader units in grey. The Tan Force currently numbers
about
80-90 vehicles + infantry (several different types, mostly the Scotia
range),
the Green Force about 30+ vehicles (they have not gotten much use
lately, see
below), and the Grey Force about 40-50 vehicles + plenty of infantry. A
couple of months ago I ran a game with a large Tan Force trying to
breakthrough the lines of a numerically inferior but technological
superior
Grey Force. I'm doing the same scenario this weekend at Warcon (in
Texas)
but with slightly different combat groups, so between the two events
grey and
tan have grown considerably.....
