Other than having to redesign all the existing ships, cool.
Will you be able to turret pulse torpedos and AA mega guns for 10? Wave
Guns for
20? (shudder)

Someone suggested a ship with casement guns be allowed to roll to bring
port/starboard guns to bear in the opposite arc. This is a good idea. I
would
suggest that a ship that does this maneuver may only engage targets in
one
firing arc. Also that it must reserve 1 thrust point to perform the
maneuver.

While you are changing the rules, how about adjusting classes as
follows:
Escorts:   1 -	33 tons
Cruisers: 34 -	66 tons
Capitals: 67 - 100 tons

As you can tell, I'm a fan of small fast ships. Unfortunatly, the
current FT
rules pushes designers toward the big brutes.
