I just saw this on USENET, thought it might be amusing and/or
interesting. They are talking about GW's revamping of Epic, their
approx. (used loosely) 1/300 scale game. Pretty soon, people on
r.g.m.warhammer will be referring to GZG as TOC!!

Just something else I found out - one of our astute newsgroup readers
emailed me last night with a little bit on info on the new Epic
rules-to-come.	So far - it sounds as if they are making Epic
detachments into reflections of 40K-style armies instead of Epic army
cards. For example, one would buy a marine commander, a few tac squads,
and some tanks that would act as a SINGLE group - much like a 40K army.

Also, he told me that the firing sequence/phases would offer more
alternatives, so that one can shoot when one, say, FINDS an opponent,
instead of waiting for a proper "phase".

So tell me - does this not sound a little bit like Dirtside II? If so
(and GW has been influenced by its competitors), what else might we
expect? (anything except using anyone's miniatures, of course...)
