FTJ Fighter implementation
One of the biggest flaws in the FTJ fighter implementation is the
automatic re-assignment of fighters when their designated targets are
not in range. For example, in the current Alpha Dogfight game I'm
playing with cms, I committed two groups to engaging his
interceptor group, and my other two groups were going to specifically
target two of his other groups if they came in range. Only the
interceptors came into range, and FTJ reassigned my 3rd and 4th
groups to the interceptor group automatically, instead of leaving
them uncommitted. They will unneccessarily expend an endurance
overkilling the interceptors.
If FTJ could allow re-targeting of fighters during the combat turn,
stuff like this could be avoided. Also, allowing secondary movement
during the combat turn would increase the ability of fighters to
respond to enemy movement, and make their implementation more like
Face to Face FT (v2.5).

"The concept is interesting and well-formed, but in order to earn
better than a 'C,' the idea must be feasible."
